Bi-metal blades feature a toothed edge made from high speed steel (HSS) attached to a flexible steel backing through an electron-beam welding process. This configuration results in a blade that makes precise cuts while resisting breakage. They are used on ferrous and nonferrous metals.

U-Shanks or universal shank blades are reversible and can be used horizontally for fast and smooth cutting. They are constructed with a U-shaped design.

Continuous edge blades are made of an even strip of abrasive grains bonded to a steel backing. They are used for cutting titanium, graphite, fiberglass and other hard-to-cut materials.
